I took 8yo to the movies last night with two friends in tow. I love the 1971 classic so was skeptical but willing to suspend disbelief for the 80%+ Rotten Tomatoes rating.
We laughed, we may or may not have cried, we ate too much popcorn. Wonka delivered magic, hope, and a reminder of why to bet on wholehearted new entrants with fresh perspectives. Choco-optimist manifesto coming soon.
